Thank you so much for all that great information. It is a beautiful song regardless of its origins, but I wanted to put real stuff into my introduction at the show. There is a lot to go from in your postings. Special thanks to Malcolm for taking the time to to provide references.

Now, I just have to decide if it is Irish enough for this particular performance. Happy singing to you all.
