E.T. Where are the new folk 'cats from? (149* d) RE: Where are the new folk 'cats from? 24 Feb 02

From central Michigan returned after a score of years in Chi-town (Chicago). I play recorder, piano, organ, accordion (mostly for caroling outside - its loud and covers up a lot)pennywhistle some, fife and tabor for renaissance dances, and occasional bandura - a Ukranian folk instrument. So far my only tune on it is Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring which is a great one for tuning all gazillion strings. I sing just for fun and enjoy shape note and Shaker songs.Oh yeah, I've taught renaissance dance for 20 plus years. Elaine
