Us Alaskans have our own unique set of problems protecting our gardens from marauding pests, including deer and bears. I have tried a few things, such as the hose-sensor thingie and netting over the seedlings, but they have not met with the success of my latest deterrent, which are land mines. Sure, you get a neighbor kid now and then, but nothing keeps pesky fauna out of the beanfield like a well-placed claymore. 'Hootz
