I am an Argentine English teacher seeking information (not lyrics - I've got them)about this song. Anything will be of value to me. My students listened to it and couldn't believe so many historical references of our history in an Irish(?) song, and started asking about author, when it was written, why and only then did I realise I knew nothing about it.
