I've read that Elizabeth Cotton's first guitar didn't have strings on it, so she just put the strings on it the way that seemed natural for her, and that's why, being left-handed, she put them on in reverse order and chorded with her right hand. Dunno if it's true, but that's the story as I was told it. Sonja
