Although you won't get an Irish session, try the Gallery Cabaret's Open Mic on Thursdays (start about 9pm), 2020 N. Oakely (Blue Line "L" to Western): they have an open mic but you may find lots of folk willing to jam with you. The Mythic Figs/Pot Luck are pretty good for that ... A rare artistic crowd at the Gallery, just worth a visit before they are all gentrified out of town ... You could also go to the Hilton (the one on Michigan and 8th Street), since they have a regular Irish Band that plays and they'll know other locales for gigs Cheers, Brian
