I came across a song in an old song book called Katy Cruel. It has a chorus that really resonates with me: Oh that I was where I would be Then I would be wehre I am not Here I am where I must be Where I would go I can not O diddle little day, Oh the little lio day So I am trying to learn it (I have already found it in the database with slightly different words). Does anyone know/sing this song? Should it be sung fast or slow? Where does it originate from? Is there a story behind it? Except for the name Katy Cruel it is pretty gender neutral.
