GUEST,Marie Colour and musical instruments (56* d) RE: Colour and musical instruments 09 Sep 02

...pretty minimalist so far! (judging from the post above! :-)

So here goes:

RED: Drums (and more particularly the drum kit)

PINK: Violin (used to think: LILAC)

CORAL(a blend of red, orange and pink): African,Shamanic and Oriental drums and frame drums (used to place here also the harmonica(mouth organ) and the accordion; but now, tend to think they are MAGENTA!)

ORANGE: Saxophone

GOLD: Sitar(...or maybe it's ORANGE...) Brass instruments found in Jazz music (used to place here: the lead electric guitar!)

YELLOW: Rhythm electric guitar

OLIVE GREEN: elecro-acoustic guitar

GREEN: acoustic guitar + singing (Folk music!)

TURQUOISE: synthesizer, electric keyboard (New Age music)

BLUE: Piano (Classical music) (LIGHT BLUE: used to think: classic harp (not Celtic harp!)

ROYAL BLUE: Bass guitar, double bass Contemporary classical music Blues

VIOLET: Cello, Church organ

MAGENTA: Flute

DEEP MAGENTA( the "colour" which contains the whole specrum but with a predominance of violet, magenta and red): a mastership of a fair number of instruments! :-)
