I don't know what instrument your friend plays, Mickey-joe. If he/she plays guitar or fiddle, mandolin or banjo, how about thinking low-tech? I use an old fashioned tuning fork. They are precise, they are as accurate as you can hear, and they don't get confused by extraneous noise. Jim
