There was a group called The Wayfarers in the UK in the late sixties and early seventies. They were residents at Preston Folk Club at one time. The line-up varied over time (as usual with most amateur or semi-pro groups) but included Ian Gartside and Brian Preston (known as Brian Dewhurst in those days). Both of them still perform around the north-west in various groups.
