A fascinating song. Perhaps there are versions in other countries that say "We don't like you, Uncle Sammy Go back to your home o'er the sea?" Or is it another one-way system? Puts me in mind of a discussion in another place, where British folk performers are discussing how awkward it is to get a permit to come and perform in the USA when you have the booked gigs - Canada etc are no problem. Do US performers have real problems getting the OK to come and perform here in the UK?
