When I first heard Joni Mitchell's Raised on Robbery and she sang "he had a little money riding on Maple Leaf" I thought she was talking about a race horse. Guess thats what being from Kentucky instead of Ontario does for you. However, I now live in Colorado, home of the mighty AVALANCHE. I moved here in 1976 and followed the NHL Colorado Rockies, coached by the infamous Don Cherry, until they were sold to New Jersey and became the Devils. Even though I still have gaps in my understanding of the game of Hockey, I am now a blissfully ignorant fan of the game, and I know that the mighty AVALANCHE shall avenge the defeat of the Maple Leafs (Leaves?) by first subduing the Stars and then crushing the bumbling Buffalo Sabres! LEJ!
