My friend has heard the song in the subj recently (by early Clannad) and wrote a Russian lyrics to the tune -- not a translation , since we don't know Gaelic here, but a good vowel-to-vowel representation of the origin. Meantime she became interested in the meaning of the original words.

Please anybody be so kind to give us a translation of the song or maybe point us to the source of such translations on the Web.
