I'm looking for any information on this song, but particularly is there a recording available and by whom. I know it was recorded in the early 50's and is a country song with the sound/style of Gene Autry or Webb Pierce. I could not find this song in the DT (at least with this title) but did find it on Motoya Kitagawa's Bluegrass Lyric site. I have searched BMI and ASCAP, but to no avail. Google brings up only Motoya's site. I did email Motoya but have received no answer as yet.

OVER THE HILL
C         E      F       C
Wandering down a railroad track
G                         C
Wondering what's over the hill
C            E       F         C
I don't know what I'm searching for
G                      C
I don't know if I ever will

            G             C
Must I go through hours of care
         D7            G
I wish I knew what lies ahead
         C         E         F       C
        Wandering down this railroad track
         G                         C
        Wondering what's over the hill

Riding o'er the hill of life
Wondering what's over the hill
Facing each day's care and strife
Wondering what's over the hill

I just seem to know someday I'll find
Someone who'll care, who will be kind
I'll wander down this railroad track
And I'll find what's over the hill
