Although in 99 44/100 per cent of the cases the death penalty is too much of a risk to apply; sometimes it isn't. Mercy is pointless unless there is first justice. If there is always mercy then you have neither. And just what IS justice? Try as I may, I can't come up with anything better than restitution or it's equivalent. |
