One other thing I failed to mention about Clearwater was the fact that I had a special guest with me. There's a mother-daughters singing group called The WindLasses, consiting of Donna Glover and her daughters, Daphne and Stephanie. Originally from Roseville, Ohio, they just made their performance debut at this years' Mystic Festival, where they were an instant success and their album sold out. I have been privileged to have been a part of their lives for about a year now, and I love them all. They sing beautifully, and they write their own material. Anyway, the older daughter, Daphne Glover, just moved to New York City, moving in with another person I adore - Alison Kelley, of the groups NexTradition, New York Packet and Johnson Girls. Daphne moved in on Friday, and I took her with me to Clearwater the next day. We were there from 10am to 830pm, but I doubt that I got more than ten minutes with her, because she was instantly descended upon by her many admirers, chiefly the other NYC folkies who are so glad to have her here. So, Daphne was off on her own, networking, setting up deals, and getting advice (especially from David Kleiman, the well-loved member of the group Watersign). I suspect that you'll all be hearing more from Daphne in the future.
