I play piano backup, and, one thing I did was start out music with the chords in it, until I started to 'feel' the way it will go. Another helpful thing: If you can find a fiddle player who is willing to occasionally play with you, at a somewhat reduced tempo, so you can listen-listen-listen-listen-listen..... Make recordings of some fiddle tunes, and play along with them... Good luck--it's an awful lot of fun, once you get it down! Denise:^)
