It's hard to pick just one, but I'm sure agree with those who favor the Navy Hymn "Eternal Father Strong to Save" (being a sailor makes it that much more appealing). It has a melody that chills me every time, great harmonies, and (in the Lutheran hymnal) a set of alternate lyrics that I also like. I only remember the first verse off the top of my head: My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus' blood and righteousness No merit of my own I claim But wholly lean on Jesus' name On Christ, the solid rock, I stand All other ground is sinking sand.... I'm thinking of having it sung at my funeral. Poobs
