Yes, Jeri, that's the American Idol I mean. There already is a Canadian reality show similar to it called "Popstars", but with less mind-fucking and verbal abuse - but apparently a Canadian Idol is in the works now. I've seen a few episodes of each, and it seems to me that (relative to each other) Popstars is more oriented towards the audience's enjoyment of the music while American Idol is more oriented towards the entertainment value in bad auditions and singers being humiliated by the judges.
