Hello all! My plan this summer (well, from the end of may until the start of july - want to be back in time for a richard thompson gig!) is to travel with two friends to Ireland, predominantly south, but only because there's more of it! We're going over from Edinburgh to Belfast and from there on it's virtually unplanned. As we're all young jobless students, camping will be the order of the day, and I for one can't wait to freeze to death out on the fields of Éire. ANYWAY: Would any Mudcatters be willing to offer some advice on where the best places to busk, bellow or err...bplay in sessions are? Bearing in mind that i'm a loud singer first and an instrumentalist second so whether i'd actually be of any worth in a session I don't know. I'd be more than happy to go along to good ones however, just for the craic (as they say), even if i don't get up. Anyway any suggestions would be more than welcome! Thanks a lot in advance, Leo PS I know there are old threads on this and I am scouring them, but I'm hoping for some more recommendations in this vein if possible. Anywhere is fine, we're happy to travel all over the country. Also, I hear that Westport near Galway is brilliant for busking - anyone confirm/denounce this rumour?
