A song I recollect (part of) from my childhood. Very popular for a short while. Surprised that it was on juke-boxes then, and that I was not chastised for singing it around the house. Probably nobody listened. Chorus: "There's a man who comes to our house every single day. Poppa come home and the man goes away. Oh, Poppa does the work and Momma gets the pay, And the man comes to our house every single day."

It goes through the days of the week, with the man in a different guise each time. All I remember now is that on Wednesday he comes "in a little white jacket and a little black moustache" and that's when he come to "take away the trash". Pretty funny song. I'd like to know the rest of it. Bill Frey
