Livet i Finnskogarna really is SWEDISH, despite its somewhat strongly connections to "Finnishness". Finnskogen (=Finnwoods /-forest) is the term used for regions in Sweden (and Norway) that were inhabited by the emi-/immigrants from the province Savo (mostly) in Finland back in the 16th and 17th century. Kalle Karlsson (later Carl Jularbo) probably had some of them among his forefathers. |
