Thanks for the info Peter - I actually work in the City so wouldn't even need the travel card - however, I don't play an instrument so am looking for venues where I can sing. I might just try that one sometime though. It's nice to get together with like-minded idiots and enjoy something other than the tele!

I do go to the Hertford Club on a Monday night, but it has become rather a mix of music and, being a bit of a 'folk fogey' now, I find some of the turns not really up my street. Maybe it's time to look for pastures new occasionally, although I wouldn't like to lose touch with the friends I've made there. That's the problem when things change, isn't it? Waltham Abbey wouldn't be difficult for me - I live virtually on top of the A10!
