1. Yes, I've met a few people that I felt sure I'd known before. 2. Amos performs marriages often, has done many of them -- usually in California. I'm thrilled that he performed mine. OTOH, here in Colorado anyone can preside, or no one. A couple can legally just declare themselves to be married, and the state recognizes it. They have to sign papers and file them, but they don't need a judge or a minister or anybody. Scripted might be too anthropomorphic. David and I both felt very strongly guided to each other. Monogamy is no great sacrifice if you have a genuine partnership, imo.
