Ah... and a new excuse has entered the American lexicon! Today, Fedex told me they lost my original, signed loan docs because they had a "blackout" last night.

Uh huh. Very believable. Especially since they insist they are delivering the "lost" docs tomorrow. Meanwhile, my seller is hearing "the check's in the mail -- er, Fedex" from my escrow company!
