I will look at that when I get home - the people at Gateway told me I have a SoundBlaster Pro. I haven't been able to find it on the machine but I think I haven't been looking in the right place. (I'm afraid to look at too many things for fear I'll push the wrong button and delete something important!)

Also I found some information at Cakewalk about the Windows Mixer - I'm going to check that out too.
