As a result of this thread, I was prompted to figure out how to record audio. I've only used Cakewalk to make MIDIs and couldn't figure out how to record. All the input here helped me do that. Found out my recording hardware wasn't buggered, it was something else - I still don't know what. Cakewalk works just fine!
