somebody pointed him out to me in Antwerpen (Flanders, Belgium) sometime in the 1980s but I don't recall hearing Derroll sing or play. And did he have a brief appearance in a Bob Dylan film or was he just mentioned. Donovan had a song called the Banjo Man on much the same theme: whatever happened to Derroll adams, which includes the line "you must go to Bel-gi-um to shake his tatooed hand"
