Okay, here's another one: Two philosophy students from Harvard felt like they had learned all they could from their professors. They had studied logic, mysticism, the religions of the world, but still did not feel like they knew the meaning of life. However, they had heard of a great guru who lived high in the Himalayas who purportedly knew the meaning of life. So they determined to find him. After a long and arduous journey, which took many years, cost them all their worldly wealth, and robbed them of the joys of youthful associations, they were finally able to come to the hall of the great guru. They were shown into the hall. One of them said, "Oh, great guru, we have come on a long and arduous journey over many years, we have spent all of our worldly wealth, and left behind the joys of our youthful associations to learn the meaning of life. Can you tell it to us?" The Guru opened his eyes, looked carefully into their faces, and with a cracked and parched voice spoke--"Life...is a deep well." Then he fell silent. The students looked at each other and waited patiently for more. When it didn't come, the other student said "Oh great guru, you mean to tell us that we have come on this long journey, spent all our money, and left our girlfriends behind, and all you can say is that life is a deep well?" To which the guru replied, "You mean, it's not?"
