To remove the smell of "freds" from clothing, dog, person, home foundation, horse, saddle or anything else that comes in contact with the wrong end of a "freds", follow this old tip first aired in the 50's on a CBC program.

Use peppermint extract which is found in every grocery store beside the vanilla extract. Use 1 teaspoon to a washer full of skunked clothing. Wash with cold water the first time, and if the smell is not completely gone, wash the clothing a second time in warm water using more extract.

This is less expensive than the more traditional tomato juice remedy, it will not stain and provides your wardrobe the benefit of smelling like an after dinner mint. Yum!
