And if you're ever in a pawn shop and see a "Dixon" brand banjo at a decent price, grab it! I've got one that I paid around $125 USD for and I play it a lot more than my much more expensive Alvarez. It may have an aluminum pot, but so what? For my mostly non-bluegrass banjo style I like the way it sounds just fine.
