Are the sessions you mention tune sessions? Perhaps they are more longlasting, although I notice Frodsham is still going and must have been in, (is it the Queen's Head Yard?) for around 30 years and I remember it in other places as back as 1970.

Do people hold Jones's Ale re-unions at Chester Festival, it would seem a likely event.
