It's definitely pre-Capt. Kangaroo; I had the record when I was very young, well before the Captain hit the tube. All I remember are the opening lines, with a slight difference from RangerSteve's recollection: "Now, Willie the Spider had too many legs, and dozens of shoes neatly hung up on pegs..." It scans better. I do remember feeling bad for Willie but not why. Thanks for clearing that up.
