I know of many cases where people made redundant were hired back on part time consultantcy to do their old job for a while at higher rates of pay than before.

Makes you wonder about these cretins called "Economic Experts".

If they were so ****** brilliant, how can it be that they didn't see that their "cost cutting" moves would actually cost the company MORE, even if only in the short term, and if they DID forsee this - why didn't they publicly tell the people whose lives they screwed around? and the company they were "saving" money for? Which means that if they DIDN'T know what they were doing, why are they usually promoted after such an exercise and not sacked, and then "encouraged" to work for macca's?

Gee, I'm glad I'm not an Economics Expert - I don't understand this at all...
