Amos: are you saying that in Italian the words for the game and for the profession are identical? (They're not in German, f'rinstance - in German the game is "Gallows game").

SRS: thanks, but I've tried several translators. They're OK on the profession, not on the game.

I regret not being able to give authentic Italian (or German) examples. Apart from a bit of pidgin French, I have no languages; my enquiry was on behalf of my wife.
