But I thought you might like to know that it was written by Boudleaux and Felice Bryant, the songwriting team that wrote so many of the Everly Brothers hits, Rocky Top, and many others. Eddy Arnold took it to number 10 on the billboard country charts in 1955. So I don't think it was ever classified as a hymn or spiritual.
