I have just one comment on MS Word, as used to create and edit HTML documents. Unfortunately, I cannot use it here. There are ladies present.

There are various freeware HTML editors and tutors available. I sometimes use these, but for quick and dirty work, I can use humble Wordpad, (though I have a number of templates which I can copy and paste into). I know sufficient HTML to do a rough page in raw code.
