Certain politicians - the Greens wore pictures of the two Austrailans holidaying Cuba Courtesy of the US Military - tried to interject, and afterwards pass on petitions, but were manhandled by Government backbenchers to prevent them getting near George.

Cowardly George then flew out of the country after less than 24 hours after arriving spend a portion of his time asleep - opinions differ on what proportion...

There is no Censorship in Australia - but Parliamentary Regulations prevent the broadcast on Australian TV of "unparliamnetary behaviour", so none of this would have been available to Australlian audiences if not for the presence of CNN cameras... :-)
