I too am saddened to learn of Bruce’s passing. For the reasons everyone has so eloquently set forth, Bruce was a huge resource for anyone interested in folk music.

I’ve been trying to go back and reread some of Bruce’s postings. He once posted what he called his final post but of course his interest and dedication wouldn’t allow that intent to stand. Early on he used the Mudcat name Bruce O but later started a new member name, Bruce O., that he used until January 2000.

Often, he’d post as GUEST,Bruce O. or GUEST,Bruce O.

If there are handles and posts I’ve missed, perhaps others can help fill in the gaps.
