Your standard table variety would only present a problem if one was foolish enough to have them in one's pocket whilst cycling, and goodness knows we've all seen enough safety films about that, but if they were pitch or garden forks then who knows the havoc that could have ensued?

Carrying forks whilst cycling, I really can't recommend it.
