When I got home with my bike I had to fork out quite a bit of cash to sort it out, which was rather "turning the knife in the wound" after the long walk home. These day's spoon-fed kids would have either dumped the bike and expected to be bought a new one when they got home or rung up home on the mobile phone and waited to be picked up in the 4x4.
