Trenet's "La Mer," both French and translation, are in thread 13885: Trenet et alia
As M Ted remarks in that thread, Darin's words are not a translation but a new lyric. I haven't heard the Trenet song for a while, but I think the tune also is bent a bit in the Darin version.
