Thread Name: Most classic headbanging songs ever!
Subject: RE: Most classic headbanging songs ever!
Head banging wasn't headbanging till about 1978 on. Most of the bands mentioned above certainly were not headbangers. I was a headbanger and was proud of it I still love the energy in the music. I know its very popular with the seudo intellects to call it inane and stupid but I hope I don't have to point out to folkies how pointless and stupid a lot of the lyrics in folk music are. Live and let live people. If you don't understand it, it doesn't mean that its stupid. If you want to be a real muso you should be able to embrace a range of music. Anyway headbanging is mostly associated with the NWOBHM. The New Wave of British Heavy Metal to the uninitiated. But not exclusivly. Some of those bands were Saxon, Iron Maiden, Accept (from Germany), Sampson, Black Sabbath, Dio, Motorhead, MSG etc. So in terms of great headbanging songs. Motorhead (by the aforementioned) Motor Cycle Man and Dallas 1 pm by Saxon. Turn up the night and TV Crimes by Black Sabbath, I speed at Night and We Rock by Dio. I could go on and on.

And LH we weren't all spotty, lonely youths. I remember those days in Belfast very well and I don't remember being lonely much.
