Voila!
This turned out to be much easier than I first thought. The codes given for the Unicode characters is in hexadecimal (base 16) notation. Converting the code 018F from hexadecimal to decimal yields 399 and converting the code 0259 to decimal yields 601.Ergo…Ə displays as Ə (majuscule schwa) and
ə displays as ə (minuscule schwa)
