Well, that's funny, most of my friends are Democrats. My parents and my brother are all Democrats. I used to work in a newspaper office that was 99% Democrats. I live in Tennessee.

Come visit Nashville sometime. You'll see the largest Kurdish population in the United States, and one of the fastest-growing Latino communities. Not only that, you'll see plenty of minorities owning nice homes in the suburbs, driving nice cars, and having the income to back it all up. Oh, and we do wear shoes and make use of indoor plumbing.

Maybe it just depends on what part of the South you live in/visit/read about, like feeling the elephant or something. We are not all alike down here and I resent that some of you insist on perpetuating the same old bullshit.
