As you say, Lorne, it's a shame that Yip Harburg isn't better known. He was a friend of and grew up with George and Ira Gershwin; wrote the songs that you mention plus 'Let's Take a Walk Around the Block' - 'I'll Be Tired of You' (recorded by Lena Horne)- 'Old Devil Moon' and the lyrics for the musical Finian's Rainbow. He promoted the cause of women's rights when it wasn't fashionable, was anti (Second World) war, and was attacked by the HUAC of Senator Joe McCarthy. On the folky side, his songs were recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary and the Chad Mitchell Trio. He died in 1981
