Well, I hope some of your children have hairy armpits - but only your daughters.

You have to distinguish between "bad mouthing" and "criticizing." And the country you love so well permits free speech, remember?

The people who criticize their country love it in a healthy manner, and recognizing it's not perfect, seek to correct what is wrong. People who yell "love it or leave it," and things of that ilk, never have to actually think, which is often a great relief to them.

I believe it was G. K. Chesterton who said, "My country right or wrong is like my mother drunk or sober."

A sobering thought, if you can cope with it.
