I was puzzled by the term "wanker" when I first heard it, but I got used to it after a while. The British have a lot of neat "insult" words and phrases all their own. Ever seen "Fawlty Towers"?

The Cubans make a big thing of out dressing in nothing but the cleanest, freshest clothes possible, the moment work is over...the cleanest shoes I've ever seen...and then they go out for the evening and have a whale of a good time. They look askance at us North Americans in our ratty old sneakers and torn jeans, and wonder what the heck is wrong with us for wearing stuff like that. Man, I just loved it down there in Cardenas.

Trinidad's nice too, but is full of crime...so you need to be a bit careful there, specially after dark.
