Yep. TV has had a disastrous effect on people's attention span and comprehension of information, to say nothing of their judgement of a candidate's worth as a human being.

Now would Arnold Schwarzenneger have been elected if he was 5 foot 2 inches tall, chubby, and oriental or Hispanic? Not a chance. He could be brilliant, capable, and the best candidate possible, but he still would not get elected under those circumstances, providing the opposition could come up with any candidate (no matter how stupid or incompetent) who was white, 6 feet tall, and looked like Ted Danson.

The System likes to have a foolish, easily manipulated, ill-informed electorate. It makes them easier to divide and conquer. TV is the System's number one instrument of control.
