Buffy Sainte-Marie is NOT lazy! Case closed. There may have been the odd case of a woman who didn't shave because she was lazy, but most lazy women are still enough in the grip of societally sanctioned fear tactics that their laziness falls instantly by the wayside when it comes to this particular practice. Ditto for shaving legs.

I believe, though, that it used to be considered sexy among blacks for black women to have hair on their legs. Whether that is still so, I don't know.

Now ties...ties have got to be among the stupidest, most useless, and most uncomfortable devices ever foisted on the male gender. GAAAAHHH! I wear a tie about once every 15 years or so, for those very rare occasions (like when I was the 2nd-best man at a friend's wedding awhile back).

One nice thing about them, though. They can provide a spot of colour and artistic flourish in an otherwise pretty drab uniform. Still, it ain't worth the hassle, really.

North American Indians knew how to dress. Beautifully and practically at the same time.
